Mini Albums
The scrapbook industry keeps growing and growing and coming up with new and fresh ideas every day. I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time keeping up. One of the newest trends is mini scrapbooks. I love these little buggers. Once I started creating, I couldn’t stop. They can be used to stash in your purse to show off your lil’ darlings, the 4 legged kind as well as the 2 legged. You can use them as cards to give and the recipient can add their own pictures, or make one of journaling or jotting down notes. Image how trendy you’d be shopping with your list in one of these cool albums.
An accordion fold book is perfect to showcase your most precious memories. The neutral background is the perfect showcase for collages, journaling, photos, altered art and more.
A tag album would make a great place to collect autographs or journal a special occasion along with adding photos.
Recycling an electrical tape container and turning it into a circle accordion album would withstand the test of time as you whip it, in and out of your purse to show off your precious lil’ ones.
A matchbook album easily turns itself into a picture frame to display your treasured photo just by folding the cover back to use as the stand

Instructions:
Cut 2, 7” squares of decorative paper and 2, 6” squares of white cardstock for the book’s front and back cover.
To make the back cover, measure and mark a border ½” in from each edge of the back side of a sheet of decorative paper. Apply glue on the inside of the marks, then center a piece of the white cardstock on the back side of the paper.
Turn the glued white cardstock, and smooth the paper starting at the center and working out to the edges, removing any wrinkles or air pockets.
Turn the glued white cardstock board over again, and apply glue to the right and left flaps. Tightly fold the flaps over the white cardstock and smooth out.
Pull the top flaps to 45 degree angle, and crease. Repeat this process on the bottom corners. Apply glue to the top and bottom flaps, and fold them onto the white cardstock. Allow the glue to completely dry. Repeat this on the other piece of white cardstock.
Cut strips of white cardstock to 5 ¾” high and as long as your paper’s length allows. Glue several of these strips together, overlapping one strip on top of the other ¼” where the ends meet. The length of your strip will determine how many pages you have in your finished book.
Adhere the strip onto the back of the front cover by lining up the left edge with the border of the patterned paper used to cover the front. Next make a fold along the right edge of the strip border along the edge of the decorative front cover paper. Continue folding paper in and alternating pattern until the end of the paper.
Position the back cover next to the front board. Apply glue to the last page of the folded paper and adhere it to the back cover. Smooth the paper from the center and work to the edges. Align the front and back covers on top of each other.
Decorate the front cover and inside pages using Creatables, patterned papers, colored cardstock and embellishments.

Randomly stamp all over the outside of the tag album.
Lightly score 2 lines at the center of the tag, ¼” apart.
Copy and paste the BGD Dots & Stripes to a workspace and print onto white cardstock. Trim a piece to cover about 2/3” of the front of the tag. Cut 2 pieces 1” wide to place over the scores on the inside and outside of the album. This will help reinforce the binding.
Decorate the front with graphics from “It’s A Girl Thing” and embellish with buttons and ribbon.
Place 2 red eyelets at the top of the front and back tag.
Cut multiple sheets of white cardstock to 3” x 9” to create pages. Fold in half to find center.
With a 1/16” punch or eyelet punch, create 2 holes through the center of the white pages. Place over binding and punch holes in tag album to match. Using the Twistel, thread from the inside out and tie.

Instructions:

Adhere a length of ribbon across the center front and back of the circle to reinforce the seams. Fold the circles to create an accordion.
Cut 10, slightly smaller circles using the green cardstocks. Adhere 6 to the front and the other 4 on the center 4 circles of the back. Chalk the edges in black.
Embellish each circle treating it like a scrapbook page in miniature.
Adhere to the insides of the container by placing double stick tape on the outside edges of the back circles not decorated. Press down hard to adhere.
Decorate the front of the container by cutting a 3 3/8” tan circle. Cut a slightly smaller green circle and punch holes along the outside edge. Thread with ribbon and tie, adhere to tan circle. Size and print the Girl and Frog graphic onto tan cardstock and cut to a 2 1/8” circle. Chalk the edges with black and add pin holes along the outside edge. Adhere to center of green circle with ribbon. Color the outside edge of the bottom tan circle by adding squares to go all the way around. Adhere to front of container using double stick tape.

Cardstock, white, pink
Vellum
