Hi Everyone! It is hard to believe that it is already May, and Mother's Day is just a week away. As I think about Mother's Day there is one gift that that always seems to stand out more then the rest. It was a simple homemade gift that my oldest son, Kelton, made when he was in kindergarten. The gift was his handprint set in plaster of paris. Attached to his handprint was this poem: Sometimes you get discouraged... Because I am so small And always leave my fingerprints On furniture and walls. But everyday I'm growing I'll be grown up someday And all these tiny handprints Will surely fade away. So here's a final handprint Just so you can recall Exactly how my fingers looked When I was very small. Kelton is now thirteen years old and this poem couldn't be more true. I do miss his tiny little hand prints, but most of all I miss the endless amount of hugs and kisses that he so freely gave when he was so small. I do enjoy being a mother and look forward to many more happy Mother's Days. I hope that you all have a wonderful Mother's Day! Warm Hugs! Karen karen@pccrafter.com
