Heart and Home
As I looked at the shopping section a few days ago, I realized how many
Carol Halm
Creatables are among my favorites. I love her style and she seems to be able to read my mind as to what I want and need for the particular thing I’m creating at the moment.
Let’s begin with
Heart and Home
, one of my favorites. How many of us have moved and lived with boxes before and after the event until we think we will be happy if we never see another box?
This little packed-full-to-the-brim collection gives us a fun way to document our move, or create cards to celebrate (or sympathize for the trauma) someone else’s move.
Project 1: We’ve Moved Card
Using
Heart and Home
by Carol Halm.
I added images to my 8.5 x 11 page, layering them to create a little scene.
I added the little heart upside down because the page will be folded and that will be the bottom of the back.
I added the words and then beveled them.
I added shadows to each item.

Project 2: A Moving Experience
Just a fun page to start off your album celebrating a moving experience.
Using the green map as my background, I added other images from
Heart and Home
.
I created a mat, used an edge effect to make the mat stand out and also applied some highlights with the dodge and burn tool.
I wrote a simple little verse but this is where you can write your own journaling.
I added some shadows to the various images.

Project 3: Create a Can of "Monster Be Gone" Using Simple Shapes
Sometimes kids need to know that their new room is free of monsters so here is a way you can create their own monster be gone spray.

Project 4: Card for Mother
Carol has done all of the work for us and made a lovely card for your Mom in
Tea Party
.

Project 5: Friendship Card
Who wouldn’t love to get this card from her
Sprinkle a Little Love
collection?
Add your image to the right hand side of 8 x 10 page.
Print and fold to create card.
Add verse to inside of card by sending it back through the printer (following your printer instructions for double sided printing) or on a fresh paper to be placed inside and attached.

There you go, maybe these ideas will keep you busy for a minute or two, but if you get bored, please listen to me on the Diva Craft Lounge interview on Blog Talk Radio, Wednesday, 27 May at noon Pacific when I talk about my classroom books which you can find
right here
. I want folks to know that Board Smartz makes an especially good gift for teachers or homeschoolers.
See you next month!
Hugs,
Thena
