“Hi Thena

Here is a page I made honoring my sweet Lily who passed away last May. She was 15 and you couldn’t have asked for a sweeter and more loving cat than Lily. She loved drinking out of our glasses when we weren’t watching or paying attention so we bought a heavy large glass that we kept on our coffee table. That is where she would drink. Spoiled, she was, but how could you not spoil her. Look at that sweet face of hers. I miss her terribly and cried the whole time making this layout but now has inspired me to make more layouts of my others kitties too.

I wanted to share that with you and also to say to all of those who lost their sweet friends this year, our hearts hurt for you. I’m including a verse or two from an upcoming pet book in hopes that one might bring a smile or help you release a tear.
Project 1: LILY

  1. I used Carolee Jones’s Scrapable The Cat's Meow.
  2. I used page layout #4 then cropped off the bottom where at Her Royal Highness.
  3. I then added the banner with the ribbon to the top and added the cute mouse on the one side.
  4. Then I added pictures of Lily.
What a great page Shelly! I love your page and I’m sure everyone else will too. Lily was such a beautiful cat! She was fortunate to have you for her family!

  1. I used Laurie Furnell’s My Funny Valentine, Kimberly Montgomery’s Kimberly's Kennel, Carolee Jones’ Santa's Lil' Elfers the Scrapable, and Jeriann Sabin’s Happy Father's Day.

Project 3: Friendship Card
  1. Use the image from Quiet Thoughts by Thena Smith to create the outside of the card. Write a friendship note for the inside.

Project 4: A Little Note to Cheer You
  1. Create a new page at 300 dpi.
  2. Add shape and fill with color.
  3. Add clipart doggie and add words. I used Dogs by Laurie Furnell.
  4. (I added a poem from an upcoming pet book)
  5. Add texture for background in your photo manipulation program.

Project 5: Fun with Shapes
Puppies and other precious pets don’t need to be encouraged to stop and smell the roses or to have fun rolling around and playing in them. If you want to make some quick and easy flowers for them to play in, use the shape and marquee tools to create them for your digital pages.
