SUPPLIES:

  • I designed this layout in Adobe PhotoShop 7.0
  • Extreme Kidz Creatable (Coming Soon)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. I started out with a NEW blank,white 8 1/2"x 11" page.
  2. I then created a simple blue frame using the square tool four times around the four sides of the page.
  3. I then opened the "Wave" paper image and cut and pasted that image onto my new page. I moved the wave paper layer behind the blue frame layer I had created earlier.
  4. Once I had the wave paper behind the frame, I was able to shrink it down and position it for my background. The wave paper is fairly bright and I didn't want it to take away form the other objects in my composition so I took down the opacity of that layer down to 50% (before you do this check to make sure that your background layer is white.).
  5. I then opened both the surfs up and surfer boy images and cut and pasted them onto the top of my composition.
  6. I shrank down the surfs up image and placed it in the upper right hand corner of my composition. On another layer behind the surfs up image I used the square tool set to the same color as the frame to fill in some of the gaps in between the image the frame and the background.
  7. I then shrank down the surfer boy image and moved him to the bottom left hand corner. To make this character stand out even more I went to drop shadow in the effects menu . I again used the square tool to fill in any gaps behind the image. Easy Right?
  8. The rest is up to you! You can import photos and use it for scrapbooking and awesome poster for your son's room, or a flyer for your Boy Scout Troop. So go crazy with these images and have fun!!!
