FEBRUARY 2008
This year we get an extra day to spend in February. Will you treat February 29th as just another day, or celebrate it spending time on something you’ve always wanted to do or accomplish? I think I will scrapbook on February 29th.
Before we get to the end of the month we have plenty of other occasions to celebrate. Children will be celebrating the 100th day of school along with Abraham Lincoln and George Washington’s birthdays. We can’t forget Ground Hog Day and Marti Gras.
The most popular day of the month is February 14th, Valentines Day. On this day across the country, loved ones will be exchanging candy, flowers, and gifts. In the spirit of the day, I’ve compiled a list of a few things I love. Create your own list of the things you love and take time to enjoy them.
MY LOVE LIST (OR FAVORITE THINGS)
My Husband and Children
My Children’s Smile
My Family
My Friends
My Yellow Labs
Dove® Chocolate
French Vanilla Cappuccino
Pizza and Bread
Football, high school, collegiate and professional
Camping and reading a book by a campfire
The movie Chicago and Dances With Wolves
My iTunes Music, mostly country but I’m flexible
A Quiet House
Photography, Scrapbooking and my Laptop …..just to name a few.
These layouts are of a few things that I love … my family, camping and of course scrapbooking with pcCrafters.
Have a great month!
Julie

Scrapworks Silver Bars
Small silver paper fasteners
Black and white checked ribbon
Instructions:
This layout was made easy by the use of the background paper.
All the embellishments are there for you printed on the paper.
For some of my journaling I used the FR Paper graphic from Carolee Jones Buggin’ Out Creatable.
To add journaling, turn the graphic so the inside box is square for writing.
Add a text box to fit the existing box and journal. Format your text box so there is no fill and no line.
Embellish with paper fasteners and ribbon and arrange with your layout.

Instructions:
Create the title for this page by sizing the Jesse Horse graphic to .79” x 1.15”.
Add a text box with no fill and no lines over the top of the horse graphic and add desired letter. I used Bleeding Cowboy font downloaded from the internet.
Group the horse graphic and text box together and copy and paste the number needed for title.
Change the letter in each box to complete title.
Cut into 1” squares cutting around the horse’s tail. Mat onto brown cardstock and arrange onto a 2 ½” x 12” strip of blue cardstock.
Add a journaling strip to complete the title and adhere to the blue strip with eyelets and knotted jute.
Arrange title with photos on the brown striped background paper and embellish using the horseshoe graphic with a length of jute tied around it.
