Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I was taking my good ole easy time getting things together for March when it suddenly hit me…February is a short month! I should remember that since it is also my birth month, but for some reason the fact that I needed to get this done escaped me!

I want to wish everyone a Happy St Patrick’s Day and recommend some cool Creatables for you to use in your holiday creations: Bless the Irish by Tammy Sherman, Celtic Ireland by Jeriann Sabin, Here Comes St. Patrick’s Day by Kate Honarvar, Already in Spring by Carolee Jones, Luck O’ the Bunny by Kate Merkley, Hoppy St Patrick’s Day by Shanl Parish, Bearing All Seasons by Colleen Parry and Celebrate All Year by Shelly Comiskey.

And for those of you who like to create a few things on your own, no matter how much wonderful HugWare you have, another brief lesson in creating s simple decoration or two in Digital Image Pro.

Now let’s get busy and create some fun things for March!
Project 1: Bless the Irish Card
  1. At the top of the page I used the image from Bless the Irish to create a card to send to friends. Just add to to background and add words. Can’t be any simpler than that to create a cute card.

Project 2: A Blessing to Be Irish
I love the background paper from Celtic Ireland by Jeriann Sabin.
  1. I created a new 12 x 12 square page, at 300 dpi.
  2. I selected my background paper using my Hugbug browser and added to page.
  3. I added the happy little leprechaun from Bearing All Seasons by Colleen Parry.
  4. I added a shape and used it to add my words.

Project 3: Did Someone Say Blarney?
*All the different items were created using various effects in Digital Image Pro
  1. Create a new 12 x 12 page at 300 dpi
  2. Add background by Jeriann Sabin and apply Polar effect.
  3. Add shapes for backgrounds to photos and add border to photos.
  4. Create photo corners by adding adding triangle shape and embossing one on top of another.
  5. Add shape as background for verse.
  6. Create triangles and add behind poem.

Project 4: On Being Irish
  1. I used the items shown below in 4a.
  2. I created the background and filled with color and texture.
  3. I added a golden circle, embossed it and added a lighter circle. I reshaped the circle to be oblong.
  4. I added the embellishments and then used cutout tool to edit my photo.
  5. I added my photo to the stump.

And now for your assignments if you decide to accept them:
  1. Go out and play in the sunshine or the snow, whichever you have.
  2. Decide which days you should leave your camera at home and which days you should take it. Enjoy both!
  3. Go for walks with your kids and ask them about their lives.
  4. Go for walks with your spouse and ask them about their life.
  5. Go for a walk by yourself and think about your life.
  6. Make it a point to expect to have a great day.
  7. Learn from those bad days but move on from them.
  8. Smile at folks and wish them a great day.
  9. Hug some folks.
  10. Meet me back here next month!

  11. Love,
    Thena
