SUPPLIES:

  • White & blue cardstock 5" blue mini canvas/cotton tote bag
  • 8 ½ x 11 red cardstock
  • 3 ½" square gold felt or wool Quick Fuse Inkjet Fabric Sheets by June Tailor
  • Paper glue stick & hot glue 1 yd. red baby rick rack
  • Cutter Bee scissors 4 daisies (fabric trim)
  • Sheer ribbon ½ yd. satin ribbon with tape measure motif
  • Needles & pins Hot glue and/or craft/fabric glue
  • Decorative edge scissors (optional) Mini mending kit & misc. sewing supplies
  • Baby Buggies Creatable

INSTRUCTIONS:

Needle Card

  1. Open card program and size "Bug 04" from Baby Buggies to approx. 4 ½" tall (tip of antenna to bottom of shoe). Print on white cardstock. Trim around image with Cutter Bee scissors leaving a tiny bit of white around edges. Glue buggie to blue cardstock. Trim around edges leaving about 1/8" or more of blue.
  2. Fold red cardstock in half with short sides together. Glue buggie to front of red cardstock with antenna close to fold and about 1/4" or more of red showing around all edges. While folded, trim away extra red cardstock, but be sure to leave at least 2 3/4" of fold intact above buggies hat & wings forming a "hinge."
  3. Using decorative edge scissors, cut felt into a rectangle shape that fits inside card, approx. 3 1/2" x 2 1/4". Center felt inside card with top edge of felt even with fold line and no felt showing on outside (trim felt as needed). Glue felt to card using a very thin line of hot glue along top edge of the "wrong side" of the felt forming a "book page" inside the card (felt is loose inside card, not totally glued down on all sides). Insert pins & needles into felt only (do not pierce card.)
  4. Tie small bow with sheer ribbon and hot glue to top corner of card front.
Sewing Kit Bag
  1. Open card program and size "Square Bug 01" to approx. 3 ½". Print onto Quick Fuse fabric sheet, trim image, center it on tote bag and fuse following Quick Fuse package directions.
  2. Attach baby rick rack to form border around picture by hand stitching with matching thread or use craft glue. Hot glue one daisy trim to each rick rack corner.
  3. Tie satin "tape measure" ribbon in bow around one handle. Fill bag with a mini mending kit, Needle Case & other sewing goodies!

Thank you card
