Monster Bash
By Leerè Aldrich

Halloween is this week you guys. I’m absolutely buzzing with excitement! I have my costume all ready to go (I’m going to be a flapper this year), and my decorations are all up. I’m also all set to carve my pumpkins (that’s right, pumpkins plural—I’m an enthusiast). My one regret is that I have to choose between the kids and a friend’s party. I love passing out the candy to children while I watch my favorite movies of the season, but this year I was actually invited to a party. I may end up spitting the night. I can’t help it! Little kids dressed up as princesses, heroes, animals, and monsters is just about the best part of Halloween.

I wish you all a fun time, no matter what your plans for the day. Happy Halloween!

Top Tip:
Often the office throws out old file folders. I “recycle” them, using them in any project that requires cardstock. They can be used to print out toppers, lists, calendars, books, tags, etc. I like to use the black and white graphics and either chalk or watercolor them.

Quotation:

"Think left and think right,
And think low and think high.
Oh, the things you can think up,
If only you TRY!"

What I Have Learned:
Sometimes I want to work on a small project while sitting in the recliner watching a favorite TV show. To make a simple, portable work space I use a large baking sheet. It's large enough to hold my self-healing cutting mat, so that I can use my knife to cut out images. You can cover with wax paper to catch glue or paint and the rim around it keeps buttons and beads from rolling away.

Customer Spotlight
Name: Jill Gubler
From: Hyde Park, Utah
About:
My name is Jill Gubler and I am from Hyde Park, Utah. This is my 40th year of teaching piano lessons. Can you believe it? Anyway, I have been using Hugware the past few years and I am getting famous for my exceptional invitations, programs, notes, labels, awards and certificates, and on and on. I do a monthly newsletter in my studio and use ALL of the darling graphics from pcCrafter. I get MANY compliments. Not only do I use them in my business, but in my family newsletters, family and friend Christmas letters, church and on and on.

I give a cute hand out to the ladies I visit in my ward each month and one lady always says: "This is a piece of art! How do you do this?" My sister recently asked where I get my cute graphics that I use in our family newsletter. Like I say...I am famous. I've even had people ask me to design their programs, etc. because they think I'm a pro at it. It is easy to look like a pro when you have such fun material to work with. Children and teens especially like my creativity. They always notice the things I make and say they look forward to them each and every month. So "Thank You Provo Craft" for Hugware. I love it!
