| Instructions: |
|
| Step 1. |
Design your passport cover using graphics of your choice. The finished product should be 5.25 inches by 7.375 inches. Cover passport cover with clear contact paper on both sides. |
| Step 2. |
Then you will need to make two flaps out of the contact paper for the inside to hold the passport. Cut a 6.25 by 12 rectangle of contact paper, and then cut it in half so that you have two pieces at 6.25 by 6. Pull off the paper on both and stick them together. Now you should have one laminated sheet, which you will trim down to 5.5 by 5 inches. Last, you will cut it in half one more time so that you have two 5.5 by 2.5 strips. These will be your flaps. |
| Step 3. |
You are now going to machine sew the flaps to the inside of the passport cover paper. The height if the flaps was cut longer, so you need only align the width (2.5 inches) with the edge of the passport cover paper. Now sew no more than 1/8 an inch from the edge of the passport cover paper all the way around (my stitches were 3.5W by 3.0L). |
| Step 4. |
Tack the end seam with glue just to keep it in place. |
| Step 5. |
With scissors, trim all the excess contact paper from around the edges of the passport cover paper, and you're done! |
